Welcome to the Antioch University Los Angeles FirstClass Intranet Server Homepage. This is your portal to our exciting email and conferencing software. FirstClass is THE location where vital administrative information will be posted. It may also be used to support work in some of AULA’s courses. All students are required to activate their accounts. This account will also keep you in touch with the institution and with your department between class meetings.

Getting on to FirstClass for the first time - Activation of account


1. Using a web browser, connect to http://mail.antiochla.edu/cgi-bin/AULA/activate.cgi

2. When prompted, input your new userid, which is your 7 digit Student/Datatel ID. When you enter the number please enter all leading zeros. Now, input your temporary password which is your last name (omit any spaces or hyphens.). If your name is hyphenated, then use your entire last name without hyphen or space. If your last name contains an apostrophe, leave it out.

You should have received a memo at Orientation describing how to log-on and a postcard with your USERID (Datatel number). If you did not receive this mailing, then please contact the Program Coordinator for your program for assistance (MAP at ext. 237, MFA at ext. 202, MAOM at ext. 201, MAETC at ext. 303, BA at ext. 201).

3. Press the Login button.

4. At the next screen, enter your new password in the first box and again in the second box to confirm it. Be sure and remember this new password. You will need it later.

5. Press the Login button.

6. Next you will be presented with the AULA Electronic Use Policy. To accept, press the Accept button.

7. The final screen will indicates that your activation is complete and that you may now access your FirstClass account. If this is your first time on FirstClass, there will be a URL which contains the location to download and instructions to install the FirstClass client.

8. You can now close out of your browser and launch your FirstClass software. Make sure you log in with your new userid and password (you may need to change these in the setup if you have them saved from before by clicking on the setup button on the FirstClass login screen).
